Temperature Regulating Running Jacket

Problem
Winters going into Spring are cold mornings. As the sun rises, the temperature
increases exponentially. This quickly evolving environment makes choosing
running apparel difficult.
Solution
Ventilation of fresh air through the hot spots of the body, and insulation of the
cooler parts, to keep temperatures regulated during the run.

Ideation
Look at how different shapes can create airflow through the jacket. Inspired by bubbles and using them to create negative spaces where the material can break up and make different properties.
Using heat maps to fınd the most effective placement for insulation/ventilation over the body...
The design started to look cluttered and too literal.
Materials
Simplify the design by looking at the material story. Identifying materials and textures I could use to group the "bubbles" together.
Details
Hardware designs are all inspired by separating bubbles (Laminar separation). These details tighten the design up so the story is continuous throughout the jacket.
Plastic fasteners, Metal sliders, Zipper pull tabs, and Grommets
The construction of this jacket allows the iridescent insulating material to appear puffier than the mesh ventilation material.
